Google is dying, and we’re all watching it happen. We don't want a list of ten blue links anymore; we want the answer, right now, in a 15-second video or a single chat bubble. But there’s a massive catch: AI "caps" (lies) all the time. It’s called hallucinating, and it’s a major problem.
When we stop "searching" and start just "asking," we lose the ability to fact-check. We start believing whatever the bot tells us because it sounds so confident. In 2026, being "Media Literate" is the most important skill you can have.
How to not get played:
Check the Receipts: If an AI tells you a "fact," ask for the source. If it can't give you one, it’s probably capping.
The TikTok Filter: TikTok is great for reviews, but remember that everything is an ad or a performance. Look for the "regular" people, not just the influencers.
Stay Curious: Don't just take the first answer you get. Dig deeper. The truth is usually hidden on page 2 (or in the comments section).
